Call for Student Gallery Hosts

This hourly student position is designed as an entry-point into museum operations and careers. Gallery hosts serve as the forward face of our university art museum. Duties include front desk registration, engaging with guests, monitoring galleries, and assisting in operational back-of-house tasks.

Ideal candidates have a passion for visual arts and some customer service experience. Applicants must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at ODU for Fall 2022 semester.

Learning Objectives:

  • Public Speaking: engage with the public in a professional manner
  • Outreach: support with developing and implementing educational programming
  • Engagement: learn how to develop and implement interpretive museum programs
